Kai Havertz has sent Chelsea supporters into a frenzy after 'liking' a post on Instagram announcing Timo Werner's £47.5million move to Stamford Bridge.
Frank Lampard took charge of Chelsea with a two-window transfer ban limiting his ability to shape the squad 12 months ago but the club have made a real statement of intent and flown out of the blocks in this summer's market.
Back in February, the Blues completed a £37m deal with Ajax for Hakim Ziyech and Leipzig striker Werner is set to follow the Moroccan to west London after agreeing to a £180,000-a-week contract.
Leicester and England star Ben Chilwell remains a top target for Lampard at left-back and Chelsea have also been eyeing a sizeable bid for Bayer Leverkusen attacking midfielder Havertz.
The 20-year-old Germany international is regarded as one of the finest young talents in European football and so it's no surprise that him 'liking' 433's postabout his fellow countryman sent Chelsea fans into meltdown.
Here were just a few reactions from eagle-eyed Chelsea supporters...
Chelsea and Bayern Munich were thought to be neck and neck for Havertz's signature but the latest reports suggest the German champions have decided to concentrate their efforts on landing Manchester City's Leroy Sane instead.
Reacting to the speculation earlier this week, Leverkusen chief Fernando Carro admitted the club were resigned to the fact Havertz was ready to take the 'next step' in his career.
'Many clubs are interested in him,' he said during an interview with Kolner Stadt-Anzeiger.
'I see the player's wish to take the next step sometime in the near future.
'You have to respect that as much as the fact that he has a contract in until 2022.'
Carro also told Infobae: 'Kai has been with us for ten years, he is a player who is fully integrated and devoted to the club, but he wants to take a big step.
'All the great clubs in Europe are after him and for us, in the end, what the player wants is what is important.
'We would of course like him to keep playing here. He is a very disciplined person with an old head on young shoulders.
'We are open to see what will happen in the future, nobody knows.
'At the moment he is focussed on the season with us. He has been injured the last two games but we hope to have him for the last few fixtures.'
It's understood Leverkusen have slapped a £70million price tag on Havertz and will not be listening to offers of anything below that fee.
The German has registered 12 goals and six assists across an outstanding individual campaign in the Bundesliga this term.
