Michy Batshuayi could finally be on his way out of Stamford Bridge after the Belgian failed to make the starting line-up of either side during Chelsea's intrasquad friendly, SunSport reports.
His situation is now compounded as the Blues are preparing to bring in Timo Werner this summer, and as such, Batshuayi will be a surplus.
The 26-year-old who was not listed for the friendly against Reading only managed to come on in the latter stages of their in-house encounter at the Cobham training ground.
Bayshuayi has been out of favour at the club in recent times as he now plays second fiddle to Tammy Abraham and his poor game against United in February and Olivier Giroud's resurgence has made his case worse.
Former Arsenal man Giroud extended his contract with Chelsea for another one year, but such privilege is not presented to Batchuayi as his contract expires next year.
The Belgian striker who moved from Marseille in 2016 for £33million has netted 25 goals for the Blues in his 77 appearances for the club so far.
His stay at the club has been interspersed with loans to Borussia Dortmund, Valencia and Crystal Palace.
The London club is now ready to offload the attacker as Frank Lampard is ready to sign a quality replacement when the transfer window opens.
Meanwhile, rivals West Ham United are leading the chase for his signature this summer as reported by SunSport.
The Hammers are said to be in search of a striker after record signing Sebastien Haller failed to justify his heavy fee so far with just seven goals according to HLN.
Chelsea wanted £40 million for Batshuayi initially but know they will have to significantly drop their asking price in order to sell.
