Liverpool manager, Jurgen Klopp, has spoken about his admiration for RB Leipzig striker, Timo Werner.
Klopp, however, admitted that the uncertainty brought about by the COVID-19 pandemic, made it difficult to make a move for his compatriot.
Werner had been heavily linked with a switch to Liverpool, but their Premier League rivals, Chelsea are now close to signing him.
"Timo Werner is a great player, Kai Havertz is a great player.
"Right time, opportunity - everything has to come together.
"Six, seven weeks ago, we didn't know if we could play again this year," Klopp told Sky Germany.
Werner has a €55m release clause in his deal, which expires on Monday, June 15.
