The Frenchman has been told to appear in court following a legal battle with his former agent over settlement of £3.4million.
Kante has been officially served summon due to a contract dispute between himself and former agent Nouari Khiari which reportedly dates back to 2016.
French outlet L'Equipe are reporting that Khiari is alleging that the Chelsea midfielder is owing him £3.4m and they are yet to reconcile.
The summon was filed and sent to the Chelsea player's home as well as his club headquarters on March 11.
The duo was said to have split in 2019, but the agent claims the player owes him remuneration terms on the contract and a further percentage on a deal with Adidas.
And as the legal dispute continues, Kante has said he has no plans of dumping the Blues when the summer transfer window reopens unless the club decides to offload him.
The 29-year-old has built a reputation as one of the finest Premier League midfielders, attracting interest from top European clubs including Barcelona, Paris Saint-Germain and Real Madrid.
Metro UK, citing Goal reports the Frenchman is happy at the Blues and he is not open to departing at least in the foreseeable future.
The Blues have struggled to keep Kante fit this season, with the 29-year-old missing more than 20 matches through a string of injuries.
Kante who is on a £290,000-a-week wages at Stamford Bridge and is currently the club's top earner, will only leave the club if they insist he leaves.
