Premier League legend Peter Crouch has declared his readiness to join up with former boss Harry Redknapp in Nigeria.
The 73-year-old has been heavily linked with the Super Eagles job as the future of the current manager Gernot Rohr looks bleak.
Rohr's relationship with the Nigeria Football Authority has not been cordial since helping the country win bronze at the 2019 Africa Cup of Nations championship.
Both parties have since then been patching up things until recently when everything blew up over pages of social media.
Meanwhile, Daily Star Sport reports that a source close to the NFF said: "The feeling is Harry Redknapp will be coming to manage Nigeria soon."
And ith the news of Redknapp becoming the next handler of the three-time African champions, former England forward had to jump on the trend to crack a joke out of the situation.
The 39-year-old tall striker shared on Twitter saying: "So excited to get my Nigerian passport through today #gosupereagles " Crouch played for the 73-year-old at Tottenham Hotspur, Southampton and Portsmouth before retiring at Burnley in 2019.
Redknapp has been out of a job since 2017 after parting ways with English club Birmingham City over a poor run of results.
He was in charge of the team for just five months.
The tactician was also appointed England coach but never got a chance to oversee any match after being exposed on camera for corruption.
