Former Arsenal and Manchester United striker, Robin van Persie, has named Sir Alex Ferguson as the best manager he ever worked with.
Van Persie played under Ferguson, Louis van Gaal and Arsene Wenger during his career, in which he became the Netherlands' record goalscorer.
But he has described Ferguson as a "super manager' in 'LVG - The Manager and the Total Person'.
Van Persie only played under the Scot for one year, after leaving Arsenal in 2012 and was devastated after he announced his retirement.
"Ferguson really was a super manager. It was so brilliant how he always kept the entire squad happy and focused.
"Wenger was a combination of Ferguson and Van Gaal. Arsene always emphasized all the positive things and he looked at what would work for the long term.
"Tactically he (Van Gaal) is a genius. You can't deny that. I have had managers who had their own strengths.
"But Ferguson really was a super manager," Van Persie said.
