Chelsea midfielder, N'Golo Kante, was given permission by the club to miss training on Wednesday.
According to Sky Sports, the France international expressed safety concerns over a return amid the COVID-19 pandemic.
Kante was present at Cobham on Tuesday, on the first day Premier League clubs were allowed to resume small group sessions.
However, the 29-year-old decided against training on Wednesday.
Kante lost his older brother to a heart attack just weeks before the 2018 World Cup and a few months earlier, the player himself fainted in training before being given a clean bill of health.
