The lavish Juventus striker is said to be spending £7million as he builds a mansion on Portuguese Riviera where sources say he will retire to when he quits football.
Details have emerged that Ronaldo is building a stunning mansion in one of the high brow areas in Lisbon, the Portuguese capital.
The former Real Madrid goal poacher bought the most expensive flat ever sold in the city in 2019 for £6.5 million.
The property is said to be equipped with exquisite facilities including an indoor swimming pool and a gym.
Portuguese media are now reporting that the 35-year-old has just spent over £7million on just one plot of land in Quinta da Marinha on the so-called Portuguese Riviera.
It was gathered that construction works have started and popular journalist with Portuguese daily Correio da Manha revealed that this is the latest in his property empire.
Although it was alleged that he just wants to have the facility as an investment, magazine TV 7 Dias claimed he planned to use it as a family home after his retirement.
A source described as a future neighbour told the magazine: "The land was fenced off recently and it was purchased by Ronaldo.
"This is where he's coming to live with his family when he finishes his career. "Everyone round here knows it and of course we're happy. Ronaldo is Ronaldo."
Quinta da Marinha is half an hour from Lisbon Airport and ten minutes from the centre of the coastal town of Cascais, the Lisbon coastline's premier holiday destination.
