English Football Association has dragged FIFA to court following their refusal to reduce the punishment slammed on it for its role in Chelsea's transfer ban.
The Blues were handed a two transfer window suspension including cash fine after breaching rules on registration of players under the age of 18.
However, after the FA saw that the Premier League club was successful to get its punishment reduced by CAS, they have now re-ignited their legal battle against FIFA scheduled for June 26.
The football body in England was found guilty in May 2019 was fined a sum of 350,000 Swiss francs [£290,000] after an initial appeal.
Meanwhile, Goal.com claims their next appeal could further see a reduction in the fine.
The publication reported that FIFA gave the FA a period of six months to ensure they fix the situation concerning the international transfer and first registration of minors in football."
Due to the outbreak of coronavirus, the FA stated it was planning to respond to the ruling through video-conferencing or written submissions.
Also, the football body has continued to work with the club to ensure they address the issues raised in the process.
Since they were able to get their restriction lifted, Chelsea have completed the signing of Hakim Ziyech from Ajax in a €40 million deal.
They are also in the race to sign Borussia Dortmund forward Jadon Sancho and Manchester United winger Angel Gomes.
