Ibrahimovic faces heavy sanction after being caught breaking 1 rule while on lockdown

Zlatan Ibrahimovic could be slapped with a heavy fine following his decision to drive an unregistered car on the streets of Stockholm.

The football legend celebrated his 38th birthday buying himself a custom Ferrari car valued around £1.6million last October.

Swedish Transport Agency official Mikael Andersson confirmed that the vehicle's registration has expired since the 30th of March. He said: "It is cancelled and has been since March 30.

He added: "A car may not be driven if it is cancelled."

According to SunSport, Sweden's road rules, Zlatan was only allowed to take the car to and from short distances for inspection.

It would be recalled that the former Barcelona and Manchester United forward bought the car in October 2019 and shared the picture with his 42.9million Instagram followers.

He accompanied the post with a caption that reads: "Happy birthday to Zlatan."

The 38-year-old was said to have gone for an illegal drive before returning to Italy to undergo two weeks of isolation before a return to training.

Zlatan spent the last seven weeks in his home country following the suspension of all football activities due to coronavirus outbreak.

The Swedish star returned to Italy in January 2020 and has scored four goals in 10 appearances across competitions.
