Fear in Juventus as Ronaldo's close pal refuses to return to Italy amid coronavirus crisis

With Serie A players gradually returning to Italy ahead of a possible continuation of the 2019/2020 league season, French star Adrien Rabiot has refused to return to Juventus, SunSort reports.

The 25-year-old has been heavily linked with a move to Manchester United and he could reportedly be forcing a move to the Premier League club.

All 20 Serie A clubs have voted in favor of completing the current league season, despite the coronavirus risk.

This followed an emergency meeting held on Friday, May 1, amid reports several sides including Torino FC and Brescia wanted the season scrapped.

20 Serie A clubs deliver verdict on fate of current league season.

The top flight has been suspended since March 2020 with Italy at the time being the hardest hit European country in terms of coronavirus cases and deaths.

Government in the country has given teams a go ahead to return to training last Monday, May 4 and a number of Rabiot's team-mates have returned to Turin.

Cristiano Ronaldo has returned to Italy after spending the entire lockdown period in his home town in Madeira, Portugal with his family.

Ronaldo, partner Georgina Rodriguez and the children returned to Italy in the player's private jet owned by the former Real Madrid striker after they all spent two months away.

CR7 is ready to join his team-mates as they hope the Serie A will resume any moment in a bid to win more laurels.

However, it was gathered that Rabiot has not even been in touch with his club to tell them when he will be back despite having four more years on his deal with the Old Lady.

But the Frenchman looks set to leave after failing to cement his spot in Maurizio Sarri's side.

He has made 24 appearances across all competitions, but has not yet scored or made an assist.
