Philippe Coutinho could be making a sensational return to former club Liverpool after nearly two years away, reports claim.
The 27-year-old left the Reds in January 2018 to Barcelona and has struggled to hit top form with the Spanish giants. He is expected to leave the Camp Nou in the summer after spending a season on loan with Bundesliga side Bayern Munich.
Chelsea have entered the race to sign the former Inter Milan star but are expected to battle with Tottenham and Paris Saint-Germain who have also shown interest.
But according to bookmakers Betfair, the odds of 6/1 on Liverpool re-signing their former winger they sold for £142million to Barca in January 2018.
Spanish publication Sports Mole however, have claimed the Merseyside club are not interested in a reunion with Coutinho.
The report further stated that the Merseysiders have already contacted the Brazilian and will not be making a move for the Brazilian.
Coutinho scored 54 goals in 104 appearances for Liverpool before leaving Anfield and was growing from strength to strength under Jurgen Klopp.
But ever since he departed Anfield, the Reds have gone on to win the Champions League and are on course to clinch their first Premier League title in over 30 years after establishing a 25-point lead with nine games left to play.
