The Lagos State Government has announced the death of another Coronavirus (COVID-19) patient in the state.
Prof. Akin Abayomi, Commissioner of Health in the state made the disclosure while confirming that the state recorded 25 new cases of Coronavirus.
He said the patient who died was a 63-year-old Nigerian who had no history of travel or contact with any confirmed case.
According to him, this brings the number of COVID-19 deaths recorded in the state to 7, adding that the state has so far recorded 217 cases.
In a tweet on his official Twitter page on Wednesday, Abayomi wrote, "Lagos recorded another COVID-19 death; a 63-year-old male, Nigeria who had no history of travel or contact with any confirmed case.
"Total COVID-19 related deaths now stands at 7."
