Philippe Coutinho had been receiving several warnings from Neymar via WhatsApp messages before he signed for Barcelona, reports claim.
Neymar joined Paris Saint-Germain in the summer of 2017 for a world record fee of £200million from Camp Nou while Coutinho made a January switch to the opposite direction in 2018.
And reports in Spain claim Neymar had sent several text messages to his compatriot to convince him to join PSG instead.
But Coutinho saw his move to the Catalan club as a dream come true and an advancement in his career from Premier League giants Liverpool.
Three years on, the situation has changes for Coutinho as he struggled to make his £140m move from Anfield count.
The Brazilian is currently on a season-long loan move at Bayern Munich and the Bundesliga side have stated that his deal will not be made permanent.
Neymar is still with PSG and has continually been linked with a return to Barca and with £70m price tag the Spanish club have placed on Coutinho, PSG are one of the few European sides that can afford him.
Coutinho could be favoured with a move to Paris if Kylian Mbappe's move to Real Madrid materializes and Neymar heads back to the Camp Nou.
