Popular American Basketball players, Lebron James, and Stephen Curry have reacted to the suspension of the Basketball season following the spread of Coronavirus.
We reported that the NBA in a statement on Wednesday announced the suspension of its activities and the season indefinitely after an Utah Jazz player tested positive for coronavirus.
The announcement was made in order to curtail the spread of COVID-19 which has hit more countries in the past few days.
Lebron took to his Twitter page lamenting about the situation even as he urged his fans to stay safe as countries face challenges to stop the deadly disease.
The Lakers star wrote: "Man we cancelling sporting events, school, office work, etc etc. What we really need to cancel is 2020!
"Damn it's been a rough three months. God bless and stay safe."
Also, Steph Curry took to his Twitter page advising everyone to protect themselves against the virus even as he expressed worry about the situation.
The Warriors star on his Twitter page wrote: "2020 ain't it. Don't know what to compare this situation to. We just have to buckle up and take care of yourself and those around you.
"Basketball will be back at some point but right now, protect yourself and stay safe out there!
The World Health Organisation, WHO on Wednesday declared the COVID-19 a global epidemic as death toll rises and countries place travel bans.
