Lucas Moura broke down to tears at the last blast of the whistle as Bundesliga side RB Leipzig knocked out Tottenham out of this season's UEFA Champions League.
The 27-year-old was not so impressive as his mistake after Hugo Lloris's two howlers gifted Marcel Sabitzer a double within 21 minutes of the encounter to ensure Leipzig reach the quarter-final of the competition for the first time.
The match ended 3-0 on a night Jose Mourinho could watch helplessly from the touch line as the German side won 4-0 on aggregate.
After the final whistle, Moura bursts into tears before team manager Mourinho stepped unto the pitch to console the Brazilian who was walking off the pitch with his palms covering his face.
However, some fans were left amazed by the players' emotion.
"Why is Moura crying? They didn't even show up LOL." And another said: "Dele Alli should not play for this team next season Lucas Moura should be a substitute and for crying out load Play Parrotttttt."
Recall that Tottenham were finalists last season when they narrowly lost 1-0 to Premier League rivals Liverpool who were crowned champions.
But Mourinho believes his side will now go back to the drawing board as they have learnt from a "very difficult" night.
Mourinho admitted: "We made mistakes, mistakes that we have analysed in previous matches. I never blame players with some difficulties.
