Tottenham Hotspur manager, Jose Mourinho has explained why RB Leipzig thrashed his side 3-0 in the UEFA Champions League round of 16 second-leg tie on Tuesday night.
Mourinho said his RB Leipzig won Tottenham because Julian Nagelsmann's side was the best team on the night, adding that his team is in trouble with many injuries issues.
RB Leipzig defeated Spurs at the Red Bull Arena, thanks to two goals from Marcel Sabitzer and a strike from Emil Forsberg.
"Indeed the best team won, physicality, rhythm, in top condition with their best players and a bench full of quality against a team that is in trouble," Mourinho was quoted Football London as saying after the match.
"Yesterday I was very positive, but that's the way I have to be.
"I know that automatically my team will improve next season with these injured players.
"We'll improve in other areas, but I will not tell you right now how I analyze."
Tottenham's next fixture is against Manchester United on Sunday.
