Chelsea midfielder, Mateo Kovacic, has urged Frank Lampard's men to approach their next Premier League fixture against Tottenham Hotspur on Saturday at home like the beginning of the season.
The Croatian international said this while reacting to Chelsea's 2-0 defeat to Manchester United in the Premier League on Monday night at Stamford Bridge.
"We need to wake up because they [Tottenham and Man United] are coming from behind," Kovacic was quoted by Chelsea's official website as saying.
"We need to play our next game against Tottenham and rest like we were playing in the beginning of the season and also make some changes."
He added: "Chelsea must improve and focus because we have tough matches ahead of us.
"We have to train hard every day and avoid making too many mistakes against top teams because we will be punished."
"The good thing is that we are still in the fourth position so we are in pole position to qualify for next season's Champions League."
