EPL: Manchester United suffer heavy injury blows ahead of Chelsea clash

Manchester United have been handed two heavy injury blows ahead of their Premier League game against Chelsea.

The Blues will take on United at Stamford Bridge a week on Monday in a game with massive top-four implications.

Frank Lampard's side will hope to have their two injured stars Christian Pulisic available for selection, while United will be without several of their key stars

Forward Marcus Rashford will certainly not be available for selection while Paul Pogba and Scott McTominay are recovering speedily for the game.

However, the two midfielders may be playing as manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has opted to leave them out of Reds warm weather training camp.

Manchester Evening News quoted Solskjaer as saying "They'll have a week or so off and we've got more days [rest] because we're playing Chelsea on Monday.

"So we'll get together on Saturday and we'll have a good camp, working on different things.

"Of course, we've got a few new players, hopefully, we can integrate them into the squad.

"[The players] have been fantastic. We've had to, with all the injuries we've had, rely on many of these to maybe play more games than they should, and they've been brilliant.

"Yes, we've had ups and downs, but it shows that we do miss the injured players so, yeah, it'll be a nice break and I think it's about time we had that in England.

"I think all teams will get their energy levels back."

A win for Manchester United will Brighten their hope of finishing top four, qualifying for the Champions League in a season that has been up and down for the Red Devils.
