Following their 2-0 defeat at Tottenham Hotspur on Sunday, Manchester City players told Pep Guardiola to stop tinkering with his team selection, Sportmail reports.
Guardiola has not picked the same starting XI in consecutive matches all season.
The Spaniard has made 76 changes to his team in the Premier League this season, more than any other manager. Chelsea's Frank Lampar is second with 60.
City are now currently 22 points behind leaders Liverpool, following their latest loss.
After the match at White Hart Lane, Guardiola kept his players in the dressing room for more than 45 minutes.
It is understood he asked for suggestions on how they can improve.
Senior players then aired their views about his constant chopping and changing of players and tactics.
