Warning message Kobe Bryant pilot's gave him before fatal helicopter crash revealed

Kobe Bryant was warned he was going too low before the unfortunate helicopter crash that saw the basketball legend, his daughter Gianna lose their lives.

A total of nine persons were killed in the terrible incident which occurred in Calabasas, California on Sunday, January 26.

The NBA legend who is the fourth highest scoring player with 33,655 points just one short of Lebron James, was confirmed dead.

The Los Angles Police Department (LAPD) have confirmed that windy conditions was not satisfactory for flying before tragic accident.

An audio message between the pilot and air traffic control stated that there was an attempt to guide the chopper.

In the message, the pilot asked the controller if the chopper was cleared to begin the journey after a special VFR (visual flight rules) was requested, meaning only one aircraft is allowed in the airspace. The controller's response to the pilot was: "you are too low level for flight following at this time."

Meanwhile, Bryant's former pilot Kurt Deetz has disregarded that an engine failure caused the helicopter crash.

Deetz who flew the NBA star between 2014 and 2016 described the helicopter like a "limousine", with a strong safety record.

He explained the tragedy was caused by bad weather rather than a technical fault, adding that when he was devastated hwen he heard the news.

Deetz told the Los Angeles Times:"The likelihood of a catastrophic twin engine failure on that aircraft - it just doesn't happen."
