Sadio Mane was given a brand new iPhone 11x Max pro mobile gadget by Liverpool teammate Georginio Wijnaldum as a gift last year, and the phone could be the one with a broken screen as seen recently.
The Senegalese star brought himself into the middle of backlashes after he was spotted carrying the iPhone despite earning £150,000-a-week.
Mane was part of the squad to face Leicester City, a game Liverpool won by 4-0, but on his arrival at Anfield the 27-year-old forward stunned everyone with a phone betraying his money purse.
The pictures of the astonishing scene created a discussion on social media, with the AFCON runner up star's humility brought to question by football fans who thought he should have got a new one.
Now, a video which resurfaced online, has shown that Mane's teammate Georginio Wijnaldum could have been the one that got him the new luxurious and expensive iPhone 11 pro Max.
The video of the new phone, which is worth N600,000, was shared by Mane himself with a note of appreciation for the Dutch star. "Is here the main man, he gave me iPhone 11 pro for free.
Thank you Gini for this," the forward said. Sadio Mane will be up against his teammate Mo Salah and Man City's Riyahd Mahrez for the African footballer of the year award tonight.
