David De Gea is now on the verge of losing his position as Manchester United number one after manager Ole Solskjaer is said to be impressed with Dean Henderson's performances this term.

There have been calls by Manchester United fans many times for David De Gea to be dropped due to his unimpressive show in some games. 

Dean Henderson who is currently on loan at Sheffield United has been superb in which Manchester United chiefs have been urged to end his loan spell.

According to the report by Athletic, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is determined to make the change in his goalkeeping position and give Dean Henderson the chance to become number one.  

Bringing Dean Henderson back to Manchester United will give serious competition for De Gea and could help him rediscover his fine form from previous seasons. 

Super Eagles star rated best defensive midfielder in Europe in 2019 De Gea was rested for Saturday's 0-0 draw against Wolves, with Sergio Romero performing admirably in his absence.

So far this season, Deam Henderson has played 20 games keeping seven clean sheets, while David De Gea has featured in 21 games keeping three clean sheets. 

Meanwhile, Manchester United are currently occupying the fifth position on the Premier League standings with 31 points after 21 games.
