Real Madrid are reportedly preparing to offer £42million plus Vinicius Junior in exchange for Manchester United star Paul Pogba.
The France international has been a long-term target for Bernabeu boss Zinedine Zidane.
Pogba admitted in June 'it could be time for a new challenge', but he remained at Old Trafford as Real Madrid failed to meet United's £150m valuation of their midfielder.
However, Spanish outlet Eldesmarque claim Real could now offer cash plus Brazilian attacker Vinicius in an attempt to finally secure Pogba's signing.
Vinicius joined the Spanish giants in a record deal for a player under the age of 19 in July 2017, before linking up with Los Blancos the following year after turning 18.
Still only 19, Vinicius is considered as one of the best young talents in Europe, but he has so far failed to fulfil expectations.
The summer signing of Eden Hazard has restricted Vinicius to just four LaLiga starts this season, and he's only managed to score a single goal.
Pogba, meanwhile, has played just six times for Manchester United this season due to an ankle injury.
United boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer hoped to have his star midfielder back at the start of December, but he admitted ahead of Wednesday's clash with Spurs that Pogba is still not ready to return to action.
On Tuesday, he said: "No. Paul's not ready, no. So, he's still a bit away, but he's working hard, so let's see.
"He's out [training] on the grass, so let's see how long it will take."
