Spanish La Liga side Celta Vigo are reportedly interested in signing Super Eagles striker Henry Onyekuru who currently plays for French club Monaco.
Celta Vigo have not been impressive this season in all competitions and they are currently occupying 18th position on the standings with 9 points after 13 games.
According to the report on Hurriyet, Celta Vigo chiefs are ready to go for the signing of the Nigerian forward when the January transfer window opens.
They see Henry Onyekuru as a player who can help them get goals to avoid relegation this season.
But it is not certain if Monaco would want to lose the player they recently bought only if Celta Vigo can meet their asking price.
Recently, two clubs in Russia - CSKA and Lokomotiv Moscow, were reported to be interested in signing Henry Onyekuru in which Monaco refused to do business with any.
Henry Onyekuru was among the Super Eagles stars who won bronze medal at the 2019 African Cup of Nations in Egypt.
He was also among the Super Eagles players who played against Benin and Lesotho in 2021 African Cup of Nations qualifiers.
