Zinedine Zidane is a big admirer of Callum Hudson-Odoi with Real Madrid adding the Chelsea youngster to their transfer wishlist, reports say.
Hudson-Odoi is considered one of the brightest talents in English football and almost left Chelsea last January to join Bayern Munich.
Chelsea turned down three bids for Hudon-Odoi before Frank Lampard was able to convince the forward to commit his future to the Blues during the summer.
But it appears Bayern aren't the only admirers of Hudson-Odoi, as El Desmarqueclaim Real have joined the race to sign the 19-year-old.
Real are keen to add more youth to their squad and have earmarked several burgeoning stars as potential signings next summer.
Everton's Moise Kean is on the list alongside his fellow Premier League star, Hudson-Odoi.
Zidane is keeping a close eye on Hudson-Odoi, who is still rediscovering his form after a lengthy injury lay-off.
Real president Florentino Perez will continue to monitor Hudson-Odoi, as well as Everton's Kean, Villarreal's Samu Chukweze and RB Salzburg's Erling Braut Haaland.
After being at the center of intense transfer speculation, Hudson-Odoi revealed how Lampard convinced him to snub interest from elsewhere.
'I had one conversation [with Lampard],' Hudson-Odoi explained.
'I just had a conversation with him and then from there, I knew this is where I wanted to stay 100 per cent.
'I can't say exactly what he said but he just said he believes in me, he wants me to work hard and if I believe in myself then he believes in me and things will go well for me at this club.
'And he wants me to play for him. They were encouraging signs for me that you want to hear from a manager, that he believes in me and has faith in me, that I can become a good player and achieve a lot of stuff at the club.
'I was excited. It was exciting times that a new manager was coming in and also you know that he will play at least some of the youth boys as well.'
