Premier League side Manchester United have reportedly joined the race to sign £50 million-rated Ajax goalkeeper Andre Onana despite handing David De Gea a new deal at Old Trafford.

Premier League side Manchester United have reportedly joined the race to sign £50 million-rated Ajax goalkeeper Andre Onana despite handing David De Gea a new deal at Old Trafford.

Spurs joined the race to sign Andre Onana when their first choice goalie Hugo Lloris sustained an injury which has ruled him out of the season.

Onana has become one of Ajax's most prized assets after helping the Amsterdam giants win a Dutch League and cup double last season.

He was also in superb form last season for Ajax in the Champions League reaching the semifinal before losing against Spurs in which Lucas Moura scored thrice in the second leg.

Onana is under contract at the Amsterdam Arena until June 2022 after extending his current deal with the Eredivisie club at the end of March.
