Premier League side Arsenal are now facing serious battle to keep new captain Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang who is wanted by Barcelona as a replacement for Luis Suarez.
Luiz Suarez's days at Barcelona are now numbered with the club planning for a better replacement and they see Aubameyang as the best option.
But the reigning Spanish champions will pray that Arsenal does not qualify for next season's Champions League which could help them in landing Aubameyang.
Since the Gabon international joined Arsenal from Dortmund in January 2018, he has not signed a renewal.
His current deal at the Emirates stadium will expire in the next 18-months, but talks are said to be ongoing over a new £200,000-a-week contract.
Spanish TV show El Chiringuito claim the stalemate has opened the door to Barcelona and they could get the African star for cheap.
It was even stated that Aubameyang has a clause on his deal at Arsenal that they must qualify for next Champions League or he leaves.
Already, Barcelona have France international Antoine Griezmann up front who has been leading the attack so far in the absence of Luis Suarez.
