Why Chelsea, Arsenal blocked three Nigerian stars from playing for country

The reasons Chelsea and Arsenal blocked three Nigerians from attending the Golden Eaglets camp ahead of the 2019 FIFA U17 World Cup in Brazil has surfaced.

The 2019 FIFA U17 World Cup will take place from October 26 to November 17.

Nigerian is in Group B alongside Australia, Ecuador and Hungary.

We reported that Chelsea blocked two of their players, winger Adrian Akande and goalkeeper, Prince Adegoke, from joining the U17 training camp in Abuja, while Arsenal did not release Malcolm Ebiowei.

Adegoke was invited by the Nigerian Football Federation, NFF, to the U17 national team.
