Gareth Bale: Real Madrid CANCEL forward's move to China in dramatic turn of events

Gareth Bale will not join Chinese Super League club Jinagsu Suning after the move was cancelled by Real Madrid.

In a dramatic turn of events, the Welshman now looks set to stay at the Bernabeu, BBC Sport claims.

Bale looked all-but certain to move to China after Zinedine Zidane revealed he wants the 30-year-old to leave and expects him to seal a transfer imminently.

Bale's agent, Jonathan Barnett, was incensed by those remarks, branding the Frenchman a 'disgrace' for his treatment of the player.

The 30-year-old has three years left on his £600,000-a-week contract at Madrid - and was set to earn more than £1million a week at Jiangsu Suning.

Reports had suggested Madrid would've been forced to take an £86million loss on Bale, with Jiangsu Suning unwilling to pay a fee on top of the Welshman's huge wage packet.

The Chinese transfer window shuts on Wednesday, which may have proved another stumbling block in any potential deal.

Bale was left on the bench for Madrid's first pre-season clash against Bayern Munich, but has since featured as a substitute in the two most recent friendlies against Arsenal and Atletico Madrid.

Despite coming off the substitutes bench and scoring against Arsenal, Zidane gave Bale the silent treatment, choosing not to try to explain the situation with him personally or find out what the player wanted.

In six years at Madrid, Bale has collected four Champions League winners medals and a LaLiga title - justifying his world record £86m fee and making him the most successful British export in football.
