Cristiano Ronaldo has beaten rivals Lionel Messi and Neymar to top the Instagram Sport Rich List for 2018.
According to Daily Mail citing HopperHQ.com report, the Portuguese superstar, who completed a massive £100m switch to Juventus last summer, got the better of his two closest rivals in the game based on how much a sponsored Instagram post could cost brands.
A breakdown of the Instagram scheduling tool, used in analyzing data, revealed the performances of best paid celebrities and influencers on social media.
In addition, they considered how often they post and number of followers, as well as average engagement.
At the end, Ronaldo garnered over 133 million followers on his account, sharing photos of his wealthy lifestyle and hugely successful football career.
Furthermore, the report revealed the amount he can request from brands hoping to use his account for promotional purposes, which amounted to $750,000 (£570,000) per post.
The quartet of Neymar, Messi and David Beckham and Gareth Bale are other football stars that are listed alongside Ronaldo in the top five sporting list.
Interestingly, posts on Neymar and Messi's accounts are valued at $600,000 (£457,000) and $500,000 (£381,000) respectively, but Beckham could charge $300,000 (£228,000) while a sponsored a post on Bale's profile goes for $185,000 (£141,000).
Ronaldo's success story goes beyond sport after making the overall top five.
The figures released showed that the 33-year-old forward ended in the third spot in the global ranking, seeing off famous stars like Kim Kardashian and Beyonce, who ended up in the into third and fourth place respectively.
Kylie Jenner, Television personality and model claimed top spot with $1,000,000 (£762,000) per post, leaving the silver medal to singer Selena Gomez on $800,000 (£610,000).
