Transfer: Woodward reveals players Solskjaer is going to sign for Man Utd

Manchester United Executive Vice Chairman, Ed Woodward, has said manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, is working on signing "exciting players that fit their long-term vision for the club".

This was included in an email he sent out to the club's staff, published by the UK Telegraph.

In an email, Woodward wrote: "Despite the inflated nature of the transfer market and constant speculation and stories, which can be misleading, the recruitment team - in conjunction with the manager (Ole Gunnar Solskjaer) - are working calmly behind the scenes to bring in other exciting players that fit their long-term vision for the club."

United have been linked with a myriad of players already this summer, but Solskjaer is determined to build his new-look team around young, enthusiastic British players.

Daniel James, the 21-year-old Wales international winger, arrived from Swansea earlier this month and United have also brought in Aaron Wan-Bissaka from Crystal Palace.

The Red Devils are understood to be confident of signing Newcastle's Sean Longstaff, who will become their third signing of the summer.
