Croatia midfielder, Mateo Kovacic, has given Chelsea the green light on a £45million move to join the Stamford Bridge club from Real Madrid, according to Spanish newspaper, AS.
Kovacic spent last season with the Blues on loan from the Santiago Bernabeu and was a regular under former Chelsea boss, Maurizio Sarri.
This is coming after Real Madrid on Monday gave Chelsea seven days to complete a deal for Kovacic.
Despite an impending two-window transfer ban, Chelsea have the option of signing the 25-year-old as he's already a registered player at the club.
However, they must do so by July 1.
Meanwhile, Chelsea are yet to reach a decision on the midfielder's future.
