Callum Hudson-Odoi has posted some good news for Chelsea fans as his recovery from Achilles tendon surgery appears to be going to plan.
The 18-year-old has been out of action since damaging his Achilles on 22 April in a game against Burnley, and was ruled out for around six months after undergoing surgery.
While the England international is still set to miss the start of the new Premier League season, he is already back doing ball work in training and is no longer using crutches.
The teenager posted a video on Twitter of him controlling a football with both feet and looking fairly comfortable in the process.
Hudson-Odoi wrote: 'Recovery is going well, I hope to be soon be back on the pitch, let's go!!'
Hudson-Odoi has just one year left on his Chelsea contract and Bayern Munich remain interested in his signature after bidding for him in January.
The Bundesliga giants failed with offers of around £30m but will return with more if the winger does not put pen to paper on a new deal with the Blues.
Chelsea are desperate for Hudson-Odoi to sign a new contract as they look to make him a central figure in the team following the departure of Eden Hazard to Real Madrid.
The teenager is thought to be leaning towards a stay thanks to the exit of the Belgian as he will be granted a much more crucial role in the first team.
If Frank Lampard takes over as the new Chelsea boss, as expected, then tying down Hudson-Odoi to a longer deal will be one of his first priorities as manager, especially as the club is still operating under a two-window transfer ban.
