Super Eagles star Samuel Kalu seems to have fully recovered but will now await the green light from the doctors before he can rejoin his teammates in training.
The 21-year-old winger was rushed to the hospital on Friday, June 21, after collapsing during their training session ahead of this evening's Africa Cup of Nations opener against Burundi.
Though, initial reports revealed the the Bordeaux attacker suffered heart attack during their preparations for their opening group game.
Subsequent inquiry however claims the player was only dehydrated and was advised to take enough fluid after being stabilised.
Kalu broke into the Super Eagles team inn 2018, and has scored just once in five appearances for the national team.
He scored four goals and 2 assists in 25 appearances for his French League giants in the 2018-19 season.
He is one of the stars to watch out for in the 32nd edition of the AFCON championship as Gernot Rohr and his men hope to bring the cup back home at the end of the tourney.
Nigeria are in the same group alongside Burundi, Madagascar and Guinea and they are favourites to progress to the next stage.
