Juventus superstar Cristiano Ronaldo has been snubbed from a list of La Liga's 20 greatest players of all time while his greatest rival Lionel Messi was included.
La Liga posted on Facebook an image that featured 20 footballers with a caption that asked fans to choose their favorite legend.
But to the surprise of many football fans, the image of Cristiano Ronaldo was not uploaded despite his remarkable success before he left Real Madrid.
Ronaldo became Madrid's all-time record scorer during his nine-year stint at the Santiago Bernabéu and won four Champions Leagues, two La Ligas and two Copa del Reys.
The 34-year-old former Manchester United star moved to Juventus last summer and enjoyed a superb maiden season in Serie A.
Likes of Lionel Messi, Zinedine Zidane, Ronaldinho, Xavi Hernandez, Andrés Iniesta, Ronaldo De Lima, Torres, Samuel Eto'o were all included.
Last season in the Italian Serie A, Cristiano Ronaldo won the title, but was unable to lift the Champions League as Juventus were sent out by Ajax.
Juventus have hired former Chelsea coach Maurizio Sarri in their quest to fight for the Champions League title next season.
