The Reds tackle Spurs at the Wanda Metropolitano on Saturday, June 1, to see who will be crowned Europe's champions for the 2018-19 campaign.
However, with hours to commencement of hostilities, Salah reminded anyone that cares that he has netted more goals than Kane in the English topflight for two successive seasons.
Speaking during an interview with Gary Lineker for BT Sport, according to UK Metro, the Egyptian star Salah responded he would not want the Three Lions forward to miss the final.
"Can I ask why you're asking me that question?" Salah queried.
And Lineker wanted to know, if he would have preferred Kane out of the UCL final on Saturday, Salah said: "I prefer if he plays and all of us will be ready.
"It's a good competition when you play against the top in the game.
"Harry Kane is a good player, he's proved that for many years. 'He's a top scorer for the team, for English football... before I came [laughs], I'm sorry!
"So, it's good to be in a final, it's something good to push me more," Salah summed up.
