American Actress, Charlize Theron reveals why she's raising her 7-year-old son as a girl

Popular American Actress, Charlize Theron has recalled the moment her child Jackson, 7, told her he was 'not a boy,' when he was just three.
The Hollywood actress adopted son Jackson in 2012 and a daughter named August in 2015 but now confirms that she is raising 'two beautiful daughters'.

Addressing the subject for the first time, the 43-year-old now says she wants to 'celebrate and love' her two children as they are.
In an interview published by The Daily Mail on Friday, Charlize said: 'I thought she was a boy, too, until she looked at me when she was three years old and said: "I am not a boy!"
'So there you go! I have two beautiful daughters who, just like any parent, I want to protect and I want to see thrive. They were born who they are and exactly where in the world both of them get to find themselves as they grow up, and who they want to be, is not for me to decide.'

Charlize started her family seven years ago when she adopted Jackson and went on to welcome a little girl named August, four, from a US adoption agency three years later.
In December 2018, Charlize told Michael B. Jordan that she had 'two beautiful African-American daughters' during Variety's Actor on Actor series. However, just last May on The View, Charlize was asked about the 'difficulty of raising a black son' in the current political climate.
Charlize's second child arrived two months after her split from fiance Sean Penn, confirming that he had no intention of legally adopting her son or having more children. The actress told the Wall Street Journal a year later that she was raising her children as a single mum who 'dates'.
