Real Madrid manager, Zinedine Zidane, is determined to resurrect a deal for Sadio Mane, France Football reports.
Zidane was close to signing the Liverpool winger, at the end of his first stint as Real boss.
Mane was expected to seal a move to the Spanish capital in the summer of 2018, with Zidane desperate to make the 26-year-old his first signing.
However, the Frenchman's sudden departure saw the deal scrapped.
Incoming Real Madrid coach Julen Lopetegui decided to pursue other targets and Mane remained at Anfield.
But now Zidane has returned to Real Madrid after the sacking of Santiago Solari, he wants to finally complete the transfer he had his heart set on a year ago.
Mane has been in sensational form this season and he's joint-second in the Premier League scoring charts with 17 goals.
