Manchester United legend Bryan Robson has told the club's interim manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer that Frenchman Paul Pogba should not be made captain of the club.
There have been news that Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is planning to make Pogba the next captain as Antonio Valencia is on the verge of leaving the Old Trafford club.
This season in the Premier League, Pogba was made interim captain, but after series of bust ups at the club under Jose Mourinho, the Frenchman was stripped.
And now, Bryan Robson who won two Premier Leagues and three FA Cups with United believes Chris Smalling and Ander Herrera would be the best choices for the role.
''In the current squad, because of the way they try to organise, they communicate with team-mates, I think we only have two who are quite good at that,' he told Sport Witness.
''So we have Chris Smalling, who tries to organise, he shouts at people, he organises people. And then Ander Herrera.
''I've watched him in training, he's an organizer. And that's what you need from your captain,'' the 62-year-old said according to Metro.
Paul Pogba has played 26 Premier League games this season for Manchester United scoring 11 goals and provided nine assists.
