German League giants Bayern Munich are reportedly planning to sign £105 million highly-rated Real Madrid star Marco Asensio this summer.
The 23-year-old midfielder has scored just five goals and two assists in all competitions for Los Blancos this campaign.
Daily Mail reports that the Bavarians have shifted focus to signing the Spaniard after failing to land Chelsea star Callum Hudson-Odoi during January transfer window.
Reports claim Asensio is regarded as one of Europe's most promising youngsters but has struggled in recent times under Santiago Solari having being relegated to the bench.
Having missed out on Chelsea teenager Callum Hudson-Odoi in January, Bayern are now eyeing a big-money switch for Asensio, according to Spanish publication Don Balon.
The publication reveals that Real Madrid chief Florentino Perez earlier stated that he will not allow home-grown Spanish talents leave the club.
However, the midfielder is getting tired of his bench warming role at the Santiago Bernabeu, according to reports.
During Zinedine Zidane reign, Asensio was handed more playing time and showed a lot of improvements at the club.
Meanwhile, Bayerm are hoping to strengthen their squad after struggling earlier this season with their ageing squad.
Stars like Arjen Robben and Frank Ribery might be leaving the club at the end of the ongoing season.
Paris Saint-Germain, Liverpool, Manchester City and Chelsea are all other clubs interested in the player.
Marco Asensio came off the bench to score the winner for his side in their Champions League round of 16 first leg against Ajax.
The Don Balon report suggests there are 'several members of the staff at the club who feel the environment has deteriorated considerably' between Asensio and Solari.
