The publication further revealed that the goalkeeper has been in the news since last October over his decision to switch his allegiance to his fatherland.
Meanwhile, former Eagles striker now national team scout Victor Agali is said to have paid the youngster a visit at his club, but nothing has been heard about him since.
Okoye joined his present club in the summer of 2018 and his deal with the club will expire at the end of the current season.
The 19-year-old can represent either Nigeria or Germany at the senior level, depending on his choice at the end of the day.
