Chelsea manager, Maurizio Sarri has told the club to sign Argentine and Zenit Saint Petersburg, midfielder Leandro Paredes as Cesc Fabregas's replacement.
Fabregas made an emotional farewell speech to his Chelsea team-mates, after playing his last match for the club over the weekend.
The 31-year-old was handed the captain's armband for the 2-0 win over Nottingham Forest in the FA Cup on Saturday, ahead of his expected January move to Monaco.
However, Correire dello Sport, is now reporting that Sarri has told Chelsea Director, Marina Granovskaia to sign Paredes as Fabregas's replacement this January transfer window.
The report claimed that Sarri knows all about Paredes from his time in the Serie A with AS Roma.
Sarri's men will tackle Tottenham Hotspur on Tuesday night in the Carabao Cup semi-final first leg tie at Wembley.
