Reigning European League champions Real Madrid have reportedly joined Manchester United in the race to sign 20-year-old Porto defender Eder Militao.
Since the arrival of Militao in Portugal from Sao Paulo last summer, the right full back has caught the eyes of top European clubs.
And according to the latest report by Marca, Real Madrid want to beat all other clubs in the signing of the Brazilian defender.
The report added that Real Madrid representatives have watched the center-back live on several occasions over recent weeks with the possibility of luring him to Spain.
Former Manchester United manager Jose Mourinho was believed to be a big fan of the versatile ace.
And despite his departure from Old Trafford last month, Militao is still on the list of defensive targets drawn up by United to bolster their back-line.
Militão started playing for São Paulo youth squads in 2010 and he was first included in the first team for the 2016 Copa Paulista debuting on July 2.
On 7 August, 2018, Militão signed a five-year contract with Portuguese champions FC Porto and he made his debut in Primeira Liga on September 2 starting in a 3-0 home win over Moreirense.
