Bayern Munich star Kingsley Coman was said to have escaped fatal accident after crashing his luxurious McLaren 720s sports Coupe two days before Christmas.
The 22-year-old, who was excluded from the French team that conquered the world in Russia earlier this year has scored just once in eight appearances for the Bavarians this term.
According to SunSport, the former Paris Saint Germain midfielder was reportedly driving south on the A95 between Munich and Strarnberg at the 60 mph speed limit in wet conditions.
With the super vehicle which boasts of a 720 hp engine and can reach speeds of up to 211 mph - as the prices starting from £225,000.
Reports from Germany claim Coman allegedly hit the accelerator too hard, causing the car to veer and smash into the protective barrier in the middle of the highway.
The report adds the car skidded along for 150 meters before coming to a standstill.
Luckily for Coman, he escaped without suffering any injuries, but he will have to dig deep for a new McLaren if he still fancies getting behind the wheel of one in the future.
The midfielder joined Bayern on a two year loan spell from PSG but made his deal permanent with the Bavarians in 2017.
He has however netter 9 times in 69 appearances for the Allianz Arena outfit since his move three seasons back.
