Liverpool consolidated their lead at the top of the Premier League table with 4-0 victory over Newcastle on Boxing Day.
The league leaders went ahead through their Croatian defender Dejan Lovren who volleyed home his shot just inside the box put to his side ahead by 1-0.
Jurgen Klopp's side went into the break with their heads high as they held a one-goal advantage over the Magpies.
Three minutes after the restart Liverpool's star man Mohamed Salah converted a spot-kick to double the advantage after he was fouled by Paul Dummett.
Klopp's men went on rampage as substitute Xherdan Shaqiri came on to score Liverpool's third in the 78th minute to make it 3-0.
Then Brazilian midfielder Fabinho scored his first Premier League goal for his new club as he made it 4-0.
The Reds have now extended their lead at the top over Tottenham to six points as Manchester City were beaten at Leicester by 2-1.
Spurs on the other hand, whitewashed Bournemouth at the Wembley Stadium by 5-0 as they recorded their seventh win in eight Premier League matches. They face Man United next at Old Trafford.
