Chelsea legend, Didier Drogba has disclosed that he advised the club to make a move for midfielder, N'Golo Kante shortly after the France international joined Leicester City back in 2016.
Drogba stated this following Chelsea's 2-0 victory over Pep Guardiola's Manchester City in the Premier League over the weekend.
Kante, who scored a goal for Maurizio Sarri's side against City, has established himself as a key player for the Blues since joining the West London club for £32 million.
Drogba has now come out to say he is proud of Kante, adding that Chelsea listened to his advice by signing the 27-year-old.
"I'm very proud of him [Kante]," the former Ivorian international told Sport24.
"I'm glad he chose Chelsea and the club listened to my advice, that they chose him.
"I'm glad I did not make a mistake."
Drogba added: "I told them [Chelsea] that we should not miss him. When? I told them when he started at Leicester."
Kante will hope to lead Chelsea to victory when they tackle Vidi in the Europa League on Thursday.
