Paris Saint-Germain goalkeeper, Gianluigi Buffon, has spoken up on Juventus forward, Cristiano Ronaldo's absence in Monday's Ballon d'Or ceremony after Real Madrid ace, Luka Modric won the world top individual prize.
Recall that Ronaldo did not attend the 2018 Ballon d'Or ceremony.
Asked what he thinks of Ronaldo's absence, Buffon said the Portuguese captain was free to decide what he wants to do in his life.
"I think we are all free people," Buffon told reporters, according to Goal.
"Everybody decides what he wants of his life" he said.
Ronaldo and Barcelona captain, Lionel Messi had dominated the award for ten years now.
The pair have won an incredible five awards each, with Ronaldo equalling Messi's tally last year.
