Former Arsenal star, Ray Parlour has said that he would rather see Mesut Ozil leave the club, than Aaron Ramsey.
Ramsey is set to leave the Emirates at the end of the season after talks of a new contract were abandoned.
The Wales international has spent over ten years at Arsenal, playing almost 350 games for the club, and helping the Gunners win three FA Cup titles.
The midfielder came off the bench to help Unai Emery's team defeat north London rivals, Tottenham 4-2 on Sunday.
However, Parlour believes The Gunners need Ramsey more than Ozil.
"My personal decision would be that I'd rather keep Ramsey than Ozil," the Gunners hero told talkSPORT.
"I think Aaron brings a little bit more to the team.
"Mesut Ozil is a great player, I'm not doubting that, but you can leave him out.
"We didn't miss him yesterday, whereas I thought Ramsey made an impact in the second half.
"Aaron has been there a long time, he's been there for ten years, so you've got to look that as well.
"Some players would sulk and say, I'm leaving at the end of the season, so it doesn't really matter, but his attitude has been spot on.
"He knows he's leaving at the end of the season, but he was brilliant in mid-week in the Europa League. I would rather have Aaron Ramsey."
