Arsene Wenger reveals the club he is interested in managing

Former Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger is reportedly eyeing managerial duties with Bundesliga giants Bayern Munich.

The ex-Monaco boss has been out of work since stepping down as manager of the Gunners at the end of last summer.

The 69-year-old who is ready to return to management turned down the opportunity of replacing Slavisa Jokanovic at Fulham earlier this month.

But the French tactician has no intention of handling another Premier League side after spending 22-years with the north London club.

But according to the Daily Telegraph, Wenger is keeping a close eye on Bayern Munich who are currently struggling in the domestic scene.

The Bavarians under Niko Kovac have recorded just two wins in their last eight games which have seen them slip nine points behind league leaders Borussia Dortmund.

The German champions suffered another setback at the weekend, blowing a 3-1 lead to draw with Fortuna Dusseldorf.

And reports in Germany claim Wenger's has been tipped by the club's top brass as a potential replacement if Kovac gets his marching orders.

Wenger has revealed in recent interviews he could be back to work in the new year but did not mention his destination.

The vastly experienced French coach who is fluent in German would welcome the opportunity to end his career competing for trophies at topflight level again before he finally retires.

The Frenchman has been linked with the technical director's role with French giants Paris Saint-Germain.

He also debunked rumours about his desire to replace Gennaro Gattuso at AC Milan to reunite with ex-Arsenal chief Ivan Gazidis in Italy as "fake news".
